Early on, you’ll be most concerned with three: the Power Generator for producing Power, the Diner for producing Food and the Water Treatment room for producing Water.
Speaking of rooms, each one produces a different kind of resource. If you have to make a choice between them, Power is more important than the other two, as rooms will simply shut down without it. Bars for each resource appear at the top of your screen, giving you a look at how much of each resource you currently have on hand, as well as a line that shows you what quantities you need to have to keep everything in tip-top condition. Water staves off the effects of radiation. Food keeps the Dwellers’ health levels high. Power is necessary to operate the various rooms. You’ve got three resources to juggle to ensure your Dwellers survive. It’s not often that you can call something that deals with a post-apocalyptic future a pleasant surprise, but Fallout Shelter is the exception that proves the rule.
